San Roque Figural Group
Gubat Province, Sorsogon, Philippines, 19th century, carved with a dog and an angel from soft wood, painted in polychrome enamels. 13 1/4"H.
Condition: loss to saint's nose, knot loss to verso, lacking part of top portion of base. According to lore, San Roque had a wound that was healed by his canine companion.
