A Group of English Porcelain
Comprising; a "Dr. Syntax" tea cup painted with two men attired in early 19th c. style clothing, the interior gilt with pendant bell flowers, the base unsigned; together with an early 19th century tea pot stand, painted in gilt with a leafy band accented by iron red ribbons, unmarked possibly Coalport. Cup 2 1/2"H. Stand 5 1/2" x 7 1/2".
Condition: cup with small rim flake, interior lightly stained and crazed, gilding lightly rubbed; stand with lightly rubbed gilding, small flake to footrim.
