Description
18th-19th century AD. A mixed group comprising: a Continental 19th century dirk or short sword with slender triangular-section fullered blade, fitted with a brass and wire-bound hilt and guard bearing a double-headed eagle with arms to breast to the shell guard; an English (?) 18th century short hanger or dirk with slender tapered diamond-section blade with worn inscription to one side, fitted with a brass guard (lacking the shell guard) and carved wooden hilt. 710 grams total, 55-73.5cm (21 3/4 - 29").
