1st century BC-2nd century AD. A hollow-cast bronze head of Minerva from a statuette, depicted with curly hair beneath the tilted helmet with face detailing and notched crest. Cf. Rolland, H. Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, item 67. 76 grams, 51mm (2"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
