Navajo Germantown Eyedazzler Revival rug / weaving by Janet Tsinnie. Woven of plied commercial yarn (as were the original 19th c. Germantowns) in a variety of colors. In some areas of outlining the colors change, an homage to the look of variegated yarns sometimes present in 19th century pieces. Fringed with the same yarn the weaver used in the body of the piece. Acquired by the consignor in the late 1900's from the Burnham & Co. Trading Post, Sanders, AZ, for $2400. Origin: Native American / American Indian. Dimensions: 34.5" x 58" including fringe.
