Hispano-Philippine Santos, 19th c.
the folk style carved saint possible Santos Domingo de Guzman, adorned with a separately carved crown wearing a short cloak over a painted robe in green white, and black, left hand out stretched with skull, raised on an affixed block base. Hard wood, Cebu Province. 20 1/4" h.
Condition: crown cracked losses to paint and gesso, lacking thumb to right hand, minor loss to base, and minor cracking.
