Hispano-Philippine Painted Triptych
19th / 20th century, the outer case brightly painted in red, yellow, green, and black with a scalloped cornice over a pair of doors centered by concentric circles, the interior painted with an image of Nuestra Senora de la Consolacion, wearing a red robe and a green cloak embellished with a gold diamond pattern, the figure floating on stylized clouds with the Christ Child and three angles. Hardwood,. Loay, Bohol Province. 18" h, 10 1/2" w closed. Condition: Losses to paint on face and lower portion of cloak, expected wear.
