Good Decorated Porcelain scenic vase done by Arthur Conant in 1917. This is an early work by Conant, done in blue on a white ground, much like an etching. Bear in mind that all the little white veins and separations between leaves are actually areas not painted which is probably more difficult than actually painting the fine lines. The interior is done in a rich pink glaze. Marks include the company logo and date, shape number 295 E, a sideways P for porcelain body and the incised monogram of the artist. Height 7 inches. Uncrazed and very nicely done.
