Comes with a COA from Hake's Americana. This is art done by Bud Sagendorf. This artist was born in 1915 and died in 1994. He was an assistant and apprentice to The Thimble Theater creator Elzie Segar. He did art on many of Popeye comic books and took over writing the Thimble Theater strip in the 1950's. Depicts Popeye with his hat and pip in his mouth and says "Ahoy Johnny Be a Good Li'l Boy Kid and Eat Yer Spinach" "Bes' Wishes To Johnny From Popeye N' Bud Sagandorf 69". Framed. Condition (Very Good). Size 15 - 1/2" L. x 19 - 1/2" T.
