1796 Dated, British Naval Print "The Morning of the Glorious First of June 1794," Choice Very Fine.
This original print measures 24" x 35," soiled along the outer edges, water-stained on the lower edge, and with a slightly rough to edge. Engraved by B.T. Pouney, published by A.C. de Poggi of London. This graphic shows a vicious naval battle between British ships under the command of Earl Howe and 26 French ships protecting a convoy. Although Howe's failed to capture the convoy, he was successful in capturing six ships of the French line and sinking a seventh!
