Circa 1785 Massachusetts mahogany tambour chest, the top with interior fitted with drawers and cubbies, the exterior front surface with inlay design, the bottom portion having 4 bow-front cock-beaded drawers with curved, eared drop in center supported on bracket feet, 55 ½"h. x 42"l. x 24"d. Provenance: Passed down from generation-to-generation in the Hawkes family of Saugus, Massachusetts. Good condition; old finish.
