BACTRIA, MURGHAB BASIN, (Margiana), c. 2000 BC. A two sided stamp seal in boldly carved serpentine; on one side a lion and serpent in combat. On the other side a raptor over rabbit. Unusually fine work for this Bactrian culture. Dia: 33 x 21 mm. See Sarianidi , Bactria, p.258.
