North Africa, Carthage, c. 4th-5th century AD. An exquisite red ware bowl with 4 interesting appliques on inside. Two are stylized animals in running posture. Other two include a galley with musicians and a collage of human figures in various poses. Expertly repaired. Height is 1 5/8" by 7" in diameter. Choice!
