TIFFANY & CO. BANJO CLOCK SHIP SCENE

A nice commemorative banjo clock with beautiful reverse painted ship's scene glass depicting two ships, one flying the American flag, one the British flag, both in full sail with " Lake Erie Perry's Victory Sept 10 1813 ." Enameled dial with Tiffany & Co. New York lettering. Hands and works appear to be original. Works are 8 day brass by Chelsea. Please note this mechanism does not use a pendulum or weights. It is a spring driven key wind mechanism. The brass works are stamped Chelsea Clock co. Boston USA and numbered 166227.
Condition : Very good, some wear to enamel dial, brass tarnished - some pitting, wear to the reverse and ends of the bottom finial.
Size : 29" tall by 8" wide and 3" deep
