Frontman for seminal Irish rock band, U2, and an acclaimed Nobel nominated humanitarian activist, Paul Hewson, better known as Bono, has become one of the most iconic living figures in rock 'n' roll. Since U2 first rose to superstar status in the 80s, Bono's candour and strongly stated political views have seen him the focus of intense media attention which he's used to campaign for a staggering array of humanitarian causes, tackling famine relief, third world debt relief and the fight against Aids in Africa. "Peter and the Wolf is a lesson in how to teach. This is a new version of the Prokofiev classic by two of my favourite people and musicians, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer. It is for Hospice Care. . .these angels who were so ready to look after my father in his losing fight with cancer asked me to illustrate the book that accompanies the music. Ciarán O'Goara was art director and guide. I asked my girls Jordan and Eve to help me with detail and a filigree of flowers. I painted myself in a corner as PETER.
