Christopher Bailey for Burberry – Stud Customised Fender® Stratocaster® with metal studs. A rock 'n' roll take on the iconic Burberry check design. The Strat® has been customised by drilling 1000's of tiny precise holes in the guitar body to convey the distinct pattern of Burberry and then hand hammering 100's of metal pyramid studs in place. Sims Custom Shop and Christopher Bailey's collaboration is a striking combination of the classic 'rock' chrome and black. Creative director for Burberry, the largest British luxury goods brand, Christopher Bailey attended London's Royal College Of Art, graduating with a Masters in Fashion in 1994 before moving to New York. He worked for Donna Karan on his arrival before becoming Senior Designer for Gucci womenswear in 1996, where he worked alongside Tom Ford. His arrival at Burberry in 2001 has brought him great acclaim, receiving applause for his work on both the men's and women's collections. The company's motto, Prorsum, means 'forward' in Latin; a motto that certainly befits this innovative young designer who has already become a major player in the future of British fashion.
