Fanciful Pre-Columbian Style Burial Urn,
a monumental decorative lidded vessel topped with a seated god flanked by corn ears. Below this figure is a stylized mask with open mouth; the front of the jar proper has the applied face of a deity within a gaping mouth. Handles on eitherside of the jar are each composed of three stacked human skulls. - 45.5" h x 40 "w - Fine current condition but probably restored. De-accession property of a Southern museum.
