This is an historically important 19th century view of Philadelphia. It is painted from Belmont and shows steamboat and locomotive traffic along the Schuylkill River. Beyond the bridge, the spires of the Masonic Temple and the dome of the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul are visible.
