Description:Includes: White dinner jacket belonging to Thomas A. Edison (label torn off, seam splitting along back). * Two cigars belonging to Edison, in original cellophane, from Sonada, Cincinnati, OH. * Small canister identified as containing a Rubber Experiment, one of Edison's last efforts. * Book Flotsam and Jetsam by Charles Edison (son of Thomas), signed by him and with a signed presentation card to Bob and Mary [Halgrim]. 1967. * Two copies of The Edison Record by Robert Halgrim, both inscribed and signed (1 to Bob Alonzo). Interesting group of items belonging the great American inventor. These passed from Thomas Edison upon is death to his landscaper and gardener Robert Halgrim. Halgrim died recently at the age of 100, and bequeathed them to Robert Alonzo, the present owner, who cared for Halgrim during the last years of his life. Each with handwritten identification label by Alonzo. Perhaps the most interesting of the items is the small canister of rubber, remains of one of Edison's final experiments, a search for an alternative to rubber that he was conducting for his friends Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone.
