Description:48 pp. (12mo) 6½x4, later marbled wrappers. Second Edition. Second edition, with page 4 misnumbered as 34. Ordained as an apostle of the church in 1835, Pratt became a dynamic writer of religious tracts and theological essays. Murdered in 1857 at Van Buren, Arkansas, Pratt's final words were reported to have been "I die a firm believer in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and I wish you to carry this my dying testimony.
