Signed Tall Antique Japanese Sparrow Design Vase. Made by Taizan Yohei IX. The signature reads: "Dai Nihon Taizan Sei," "Made by Taizan in Great Japan." Taizan closed the family's studio in 1894, following the display of his exhibition pieces in the Japanes pavilion in the Columbian Exposition, Chicago, 1893.The vase has a small knick on bottom .Size is 14-1/2"tall x 3-1/2"wide.
