Title:Silver-plated "Golf Illustrated Trophy"
Author:Golf Illustrated Hand-hammered silver-plated golf trophy with long side handles, loosely placed on top of original black painted wooden base. 14" tall; trophy base diameter 7½"; 13¾" across from handle end to handle end; wooden base 6" tall with 9" bottom diameter. Nice Art Deco period trophy for a "Father & Son" event awarded to Neil & Lockwood Albright, 1927, donated by Dr. A.M. Holcombe, as part of a "Golf Illustrated [Magazine]" tournament. Names and information engraved on one side of trophy, "Golf Illustrated Trophy Won By" in same lettering/font as seen for their magazine publication.
