Phillips & Sons Hot Curl Balsa Collection 9'9"/10'6"/11'0" (10) - This is a very unique offering. A set of hot curl replicas shaped by Jim Phillips for the upcoming historical documentary movie by Dan Herlihy. These boards were filmed in action and ridden by the likes of Bonga Perkins at North Shore spots including Sunset Beach. They are made of balsa, redwood and covered in spar varnish and every effort has been made to match the originals of which they were taken off of. The true Hot Curl board, the Hot Curl with "V" and fin system and the final evolution of the Hot Curl with flat bottom and keel fin. Bids will be for one board and the buyer has the option to choose which board he wants or to match the bid for each of the others. Second chance bids will be offered for any unclaimed boards. Pre-auction estimate is for individual boards.
