circa 1905, by Louis Majorelle, clasp on the underside marked with two crossed keys and "VO/Paris", the rounded rectangular top with molded edge above pierced downswept legs ending in trifid feet on ball casters, together with one original and one later leaf, and six matching caned dining chairs en suite with the following two lots, 7 pcs, the table, 28.5 H x 48 W x 46 D, est:$2000/4000. Condition
Depth of table closed. Old leaf: 19.75"; new leaf: 25.5". Structurally sound. With a mellow nutty color to timber overall. Unique extending mechanism. General marks and scratches to surface overall, commensurate with age and use. Timber to top dry, with waterstaining and lifting overall. Would benefit from restoration. One rounded edge with a 2.5" crack. Wear to feet. Chairs: 41.5 x 17.75 x 16". Height of seat: 19.25", width of seat: 17", depth of seat: 15". Structurally sound. With some overall even fading to timber. General marks, scratches and wear. With some scraping to fronts of seats. Later loose cusions with light wear and some minor stains. One chair with a hole to caned back, otherwise caning in good condition. Originally a larger set.
