Carved and painted trade sign by English carver John Caldwell showing the California and Oregon Salmon Fishery. Descriptive text reads "Boxed Fish / Sliced, Filleted or Whole / Cold Packed Delivery to Hotels and Restaurants Statewide." The work is executed on five planks of fastened timber with scalloped corners. 24 x 36. Condition: very good. 20th Century.
