Title: Birds of New York
Author: Elon Howard Eaton Publisher: The University of the State of New York Printing Year: 1914, Part 2 Details/Condition: Bound in its original forest green cloth boards with gilt embossed spine, this large antique text is a scarce publication of the New York State Museum on the diversity of birds that inhabit the state, including detailed discussions of communities, ecology, and individual species. The work is profusely illustrated with over 100 full-color, full-page plates by the famed Cornell ornithologist and illustrative painter Louis Agassiz Fuertes. These gorgeous prints occupy the end portion of the volume and are accompanied by their original numbered tissue guards. The volume shows mild external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean, very lightly toned pages. Each well-preserved illustration plate shows beautifully with no distracting toning or tears. The book measures approximately 9" x 11.5" and contains 719 pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $12.50 ImagesClick on thumbnails to see larger images:
