Tintype of Union soldier in full uniform holding rifle with bayonet. Found in Wilson County, Tennessee. 2nd item - Civil War era letter from Wilson County. Letter is addressed to Sallie Wortham, Lebanon, TN from Maysville, Alabama, April 12th, 1865. Discusses a "Captain Jones" being exchanged , accusations of being an "abolitionist", and information about a "Jack Byers" being captured at New Market. Condition - old abrasions to background of tintype, front case missing. Dimensions of tintype case 4 3/4" x 3 5/8". Private collection.
