Classical two drawer work table, probably Nashville or Davidson County, TN. Consisting of a rectangular top over two short ovolo drawers, on round tapering legs terminating in ball feet. Made without handles. Locking drawers with brass keyhole surrounds. White marble top which appears to be a later addition, lifts off to reveal a finished top. Mahogany and mahogany veneer, cherry, and poplar secondary. Dovetailed construction, square nails. Condition - scattered veneer chips, overall fair condition; separate marble top in fair condition with assorted scratches, stains, and chips. Drawer sides built up. 17 ¼" depth x 20 ¼" width x 29" height. Circa 1840. Glen Leven estate.
