Six Tennessee coin silver spoons, marked J. Peabody (John Peabody, working in Nashville 1836-1850). Each spoon monogrammed with "W", probably for Wilson. Peabody was among the eight Nashville silversmiths to form the "Association of the Watchmakers, Silversmiths, and Jewelers of Nashville" in 1836. Peabody partnered with John Campbell between 1836-1837. These spoons descended in Susan West's family. Condition - minor scratches and dents, overall in very good condition. 7 1/2" length, 6.95 oz troy total weight. Circa 1841. Glen Leven estate.
