Antique eyeglasses with cases, opera glasses, and smoking pipe . Includes 5 pairs of 19th century eyeglasses and pince nez, one half moon style, two with leather cases marked Calhoun & Co., Nashville. One case embroidered suede case, and one with unmarked metal case. Additional item - small leather covered pipe with bakelite tip in original leather case. Addtional item - pair of opera glasses with mother of pearl eye rests and barrels, silvertone metal bridge. Marked Le Maire F1 Paris with bee mark/Amer Coe Chicago 12 Glasses/ Monogram COT. These opera glasses are believed to have been Conn Overton Thompson's, Susan West's grandmother. Condition on items - oxidation to glasses and glass cases, pipe tip loose. Wear and losses to leather glasses cases. All lenses clear and intact. Dimensions 6" length for glasses, 3 1/2" pipe length, 2" x 4 1/2" for opera glasses. Late 19th century. Glen Leven estate.
