Original cartoon by Tom Little (1898-1972), titled "Let 'Em Wait", signed lower right, "Tom Little" and inscription below signature, "To John Thompson from the fellow at the back of the line. TL", on card stock. Tom Little won the 1957 Pultizer Prize for one of his cartoons.The "G.B." initials for the Tennessee Governor in the cartoon represent Democratic Governor Gordon Browning during his term from 1937-1939 (Also served 1949-1953). In addition to his work at the Nashville Tennessean, Little also drew cartoon illustrations for the New York Times Magazine. Condition - very good condition. Some slight foxing in middle of the cartoon. Dimensions 16" x 19" paperboard. Glen Leven estate.
