Two art works by Nora Unwin (American/English, 1907-1982). 1st item - Wood engraving titled "Pharoah's Dream" in pencil lower left, signed lower right in margin "Nora S. Unwin", below title in pencil "(artist proof)". Depicting a thistle plant in the middle foreground flanked by receding rows of longhorn cattle. In Unwin's hand on back of matte (ink), "Pharoah's Dream" wood Engraving for 'Joseph'/The Christmas (Knopf)/ Nora S. Unwin" (Christmas is crossed out). Very good condition. 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" sight dimensions. Matted. Circa 1950. 2nd item - Wood block print, signed in lower margin, "White Cyclamen Ed/30 Nora S. Unwin". Consisting of an intertwined black and white floral design on a variegated gray and white background. Dimensions 12 1/2" x 17" image size, 13 1/2" x 19" uncut sheet of paper. Condition - brown tape remnants to top edge, creasing of a couple of corners, slight creasing of left margin. Mid 20th century. Glen Leven estate.
