Floral still life painting by V. A. Richardson (Volney Allen Richardson, b. 1880) - Richardson was born in Attica, New York and settled in Houston, Texas. He studied at the Art Student League of New York, the School of Fine Art, and under William Merritt Chase. Label with title on back, "Roses and Mums by V. A. Richardson". Retains original frame. Condition - old tear to canvas, abrasion at tear. 22" x 28 1/2" painting, 29" x 35 1/2" frame. Early 20th century. Private collection.
