Grouping of gold jewelry relating to Conn Harris West. 1st item - 14K gold brooch with central opal and spiraled gold loop design around the circumference of the stone. Marked on back "C W 14K gold". The "C W" is Conn West's hallmark. 12.3 grams. Conn West was educated at Peabody Teacher's College and finished at Radcliffe, the womens college of Harvard University. She also received a Master of Art degree from Vanderbilt. Conn trained under the silversmith, Ann Orr Morris. Condition - perimeter chip to the opal stone, otherwise very good condition. 1 1/4" width x 1 3/8" length. Circa 1940. 2nd item - Gold necklace with gold basketball pendant. Inscribed on the basketball "Conn Harris 1927 Captain". The chain is marked 10K. The basketball is 14K gold, acid tested. Good condition. Chain approx. 20" length. Early 20th century. 3rd item - Gold 10K Phi Beta Kappa pendant, inscribed "Conn Harris Radcliffe 1931". Gold acid tested. 1 1/4" length. Circa 1931. Glen Leven estate.
