Johnson Bros. Old Britain pattern dinnerware partial service, marked "Johnson Bros. Old Britain Made in England". Provenance - According to Susan West's notes, this set was inherited from her grandmother, Susie Hunter West. A total of 52 pieces of ironstone, transfer printed in red with scenes of castles. Includes 2 oval platters, 7 cups, 9 saucers (1 badly crazed and chipped), 2 boullion cups (1 crazed), 5 fruit bowls (5"), 5 cereal bowls (6"), 1 square bowl (8 1/2"), 1 square plate (8"), 1 plate (7.5"), 5 saucers (6" - all crazed, chipped, discolored), 5 plates (6", all with crazing, chips), 8 dinner plates (6 crazed, chipped). Early 20th century. Glen Leven estate.
