Fine Ohio Drawing by Pen Artest Clement E. Moore,
exceptionally large ink on paper of a large buck wading in a lake. Signed 3 times, twice in the lower right and once on a sign in the background of the scene, and dated May 10, 1900. In a modern frame; 33.25" x 53.75" (w/o frame), 37" x 57" (w/frame).

Clement E. Moore of Bainbridge, Ohio, produced many such drawings throughout his life. He also served as the curator at the Dr. John Harris Dental Museum at the site of the first dental school in the United States. The drawing offered here was given by the artist to the family of the current owner.
Evenly toned, a few very minor cracks and losses, not removed from frame for examination; VG.
