Pair of Folk Art Portraits,
oils on canvas, folksy portraits of a young married couple. American, found in Northern Ohio, mid-19th century. Accompanying documentation includes a conservationa report and also identifies the female sitter as Samantha Barney Rood, who was from Amherst, Lorain County, Ohio. The male is likely her husband, but his name is not known. Unframed; 27" x 24".

Relined and laid on cardstock, mounted on wood stretcher; she has two repaired tears and some in painting; he has very minor in painting; only G+.
