Pair of Patty Hodgkins Miniature Portraits,
watercolor on paper. Fine half-length profile portraits of a man and a woman. He is in a high-collared green jacket and white shirt; she is in a white Empire dress. Both are seated on black-painted fancy chairs. Old auction label on the reverse identifies the artist as Patty Hodgkins and the sitters as William Coale and Eunice Hastings. Probably American, in matching, old, gilt frames; 4.5" x 3.5" (w/o frame), 8" x 7" (w/frame).

NOTE: We have been alerted that these are 20th century Italian reproductions. They're well done, but not period, and are being sold as reproduction.
