oil on board, reproducing the small painting held by a standing figure of Dolci in the artist's 1674 self-portrait. Shown is a surprisingly modern-looking profile of the great Florentine Baroque painter as a young man. The verso issigned "John R. Ricardi" above a gallery label from Costa & Conti in Florence. The board is mounted in a period ornate gilt and gesso frame composed of interwoven oak leaves. - SS 8" H x 6.25" W; DOA 16" H x 13.5" W. - Excellentcondition.
