Antique Chinese Wall Tiles With Afghan Ladle,
two thick ceramic plaques, Tang through Ming Dynasties, ca. 618-1644, 6.25" w x 11.25" h, each depicting a female attendant in high relief; one lady cradles a lamb while the other holds what appears to be a large snail; both have vestiges of original paint; included is a carved wooden ladle from Afghanistan, ca. mid-20th c., 21" long. - Both tiles are worn with chipping and earthen encrustations; one tile has been broken diagonally and re-glued; the ladle is intact with wear fromheavy use.
