Title: The Grave, a Poem
Author: Blair, Robert Description: [16], [xv]-liv, 42 pp. Illustrated with 12 copper-engraved plates including the added pictorial title-page after drawings by William Blake; frontispiece portrait of Blake after T. Phillips; all etched by L. Schiavonetti. (4to) 14x11,19th century full red straight-grain morocco elaborately tooled in gilt, expertly rebacked with matching modern gilt-tooled morocco, wide gilt inner dentelles, all edges gilt; binder's ticket of C. Hering on front flyleaf. Some of Blake's most characteristic work is presented here, a striking interpretation of Blair's poem. This is the 1813 re-issue of the 1808 edition, both of which also came in folio editions. In a sumptuous red morocco binding expertly rebacked and restored.
