As an engineer before the war he helped lay out Central Park and constructed the dry docks at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He was wounded and captured at Gettysburg. He poses with his sword in Brady's studio. His name is written beneath the print, on a CDV published by Anthony. The top of the mount has been neatly trimmed; otherwise fine. [3+]
