Most have numbers and titles in Russian on the bottom of the prints, and several have the backstamp for Yermokov, who operated in Tiflis. The unmounted prints are 8 ½" x 10 ¾" or the reverse, some very slightly larger or smaller.
a) 6 views in Crimea: people posed at a small seaside Church, in Yalta; carriages pass a seaside establishment farther along the beach; activities along the shore with the town behind; ships in a stormy sea; a lovely woodland scene; and a rotunda up on a hill. b) 4 scenes at Kislovolsk’, including a tree-lined street in the town and views of rock formations. c) 6 views of Pyatigorsk’, including four town overviews with excellent detail, a wagon on a road along an estate, and a rotunda, the ‘Aeolean Harp.” d) 2 scenes at the spa at Essentuki.: a bath house, and up the steps to another interesting building, with “No. 18” and attendants. e) 2 views at a spa: an interior, with attendants, a sign for “Narzan’” and the exterior of a spa building, with attendants. These are rare images of the placid resort life in this era. The tones are nice, and there are only incidental minor edge chips on a few prints.
