Vintage 10 5/8" x 11 ¾" matte gelatin silver print on heavy textured paper. An unusual photograph for Johnson, probably for an advertisement—very different from his familiar Ziegfield Follies photographs. The expanse of sky gives this a foreboding aspect. Trivial tear at the very top. Black paper adheres to verso, but Johnson's stamp is visible. [D3]
