Civil War sword, 37 1/4"l. overall, blade 31 1/2", marked "C. Roby & Co. W. Chelmsford, Mass.", inscribed on brass hilt "Lieut. J.W. Nichols", good condition, dents on scabbard. Also included: one officer's shoulder insignia "L.L." with gold bullion, 1 3/4" x 4", good condition; one cast lead, brass coated "US" belt buckle, 2 1/4" x 3 1/2", good condition; one 19th Century white leather officer's waist belt with red stitching and cast brass buckle with two military men and trophies of war, buckle 2" x 3", one strap separate, normal wear; one black leather waist belt with cast brass eagle buckle "E Pluribus Unum" with two sword straps, buckle 2" x 3 1/4", good condition; one white leather officer's waist belt with four eagle chain supports and ormolu cast eagle buckle, buckle 2" x 3", good condition.
