NAVAL OFFICER'S SWORD. Post Civil War. Beautifully etched blade has anchor and shield with scrolling and the engraved name "W. J. Rogers" within a panel. Made by "S. N. Meyer, Washington, D. C". Sharkskin grip with wire remaining. Pierced hilt with dolphin grip and stars around the pommel. No scabbard. 35 1/4"l.
