Description
COUNTRY CHIPPENDALE TWO-PIECE WALL CUPBOARD IN CURLY MAPLE. Poplar secondary wood. Dovetailed bracket feet and case. Two raised panel doors in the base with three dovetailed drawers all of which have edge beading. Top includes double beaded doors with nine panes of old wavy glass and a molded cornice. Top and bottom shelves feature plate bars and the center shelf is cut out for spoons. Secret drawers in the base. Old replaced thumb latches and the drawers have redware pulls with dark sponging. Old refinishing with evidence of an original red wash. 65 1/2"w. 19 3/4"d. 84"h. Ex Eva Plack collection, auctioned at Garth's, July 25, 1986.
