Details/Condition: Bound in its original black cloth covers with Grecian silhouette decorations and genuine gold-stamped binding, this antique text is a scarce limited edition, private printing of a text about unusual sexual practices "of all races in all ages – ancient and modern, oriental and occidental, primitive and civilized". The book was authored by Dr. Iwan Bloch, a physician of diseases of the sexual system and author of books about Marquis de Sade and Syphilis. The work is beautifully typeset on heavy paper with deckled edges and includes an unbound title page and limitation notice on onionskin paper; the limitation notice is stamped number 1399 of three thousand total copies. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with bright, unmarred pages. The book measures approximately 6.5" x 9.5" and contains 246 pages.
