Artist Statement and Biography:  This piece emphasizes the geometric and the organic.  My current artistic phase is to integrate Greek mathematically defined beauty into projects.  The goddess is to be viewed at a distance as well as close-up.

 

Describing himself as a modern artist, Lee Roby stands by the philosophy that the only real art is modern art, especially since the development of the camera.  Although Lee uses reality as a point of departure in his paintings, there is more.  This former teacher of art and photography is inspired and influenced by Van Gogh, Matisse and Picasso.  Lee lives in Warren, Ohio, with his wife Ellen.

The statue measurements are approximately 6 feet tall by 8 feet, 6 inches long. These are works of art and some statues are meant to be displayed out of the elements.
