Artist Statement and Biography:  The goddess is emerging from a marble pedestal, which begins to break away in pieces and reveals the beautiful greens and fauna, which are abundant in this area.  Arising through the gardens appear some recognizable architecture and other features of Trumbull County.  She has a metallic appearance covered by vines.

 

Brenda Myers Cohen studied advertising at Youngstown State University (YSU) and works as a freelance artist. She is most noted for her large mural paintings and decorative wall designs. Her work has been exhibited in a numerous area venues including the YWCA Women's Art Show, the Jewish Community Center, the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts and the Butler Institute of American Art.

The statue measurements are approximately 6 feet tall by 8 feet, 6 inches long. These are works of art and some statues are meant to be displayed out of the elements.
